Who are we?

Hi! We’re Lucy and Dan, travel enthusiasts from Yorkshire and Wales respectively. 9 years ago we caught the travel bug and have made travel our priority ever since. In 2022 we took the leap and quit our day jobs to travel full-time, exploring Mexico and Central America. For the last year we’ve been living, working and travelling in New Zealand on a working holiday.

A bit about Lucy

Lucy loves wildlife particularly marine animals and cats. You could say her love for Christmas-time is an obsession, but she prefers to be in the tropical bliss of a sandy beach and palm trees. You’ll likely find her with a glass of wine in the sunshine.

Lucy is a thorough researcher. She makes lists and lists for new destinations and doesn’t like to miss out on anything. She became PADI certified on the Great Barrier Reef on a world-wide solo trip in 2018 and and hasn’t stopped diving since.

A bit about Dan

Dan loves music, the sea and meeting new people. He’s most at home in the swaying bows of a boat that’s heading out to new adventures.

Dan has more of a spontaneous approach to travel and enjoys living in the moment and seeing where life goes. He got his PADI Open Water in Mexico in 2022 and now hasn’t wanted to do anything else since.

Together, our adventures are a mix of culture, history, wildlife, food, scenery and spontaneity. We particularly love road-trips, being in and by the sea and spotting lots of wildlife.

You’ve probably guessed, but we’re big cetacean geeks. You can find us with binoculars-in-hand wherever we go, on the lookout for whales and dolphins.

We’re advocates of ethical wildlife experiences. This means it’s important to us that animals are experienced sustainably, in their natural habitats. We want to spread the word on what it means to be a responsible traveller and show you how you can have ethical wildlife encounters too.
